About The Position

This role is responsible for managing incoming materials, ensuring accuracy in receiving and inventory, and supporting production needs. The Receiver/Material Handler will operate essential equipment, maintain inventory integrity, and contribute to a safe and organized work environment. This position requires attention to detail, the ability to work independently, and a commitment to safety protocols.

Requirements

High school diploma
Experienced in aspects of fabrication
Experienced in reading micrometers, calipers, and any sort of fabrication measuring apparatus.
Ability to read and interpret documents such as safety rules, operating, and maintenance instructions, and procedure manuals.
Ability to use and convert fractions to decimal (and vice versa).
Ability to perform basic mathematical equations that arise during fabrication.
Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form.
Ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.
Ability to use ERP system.
Ability to open drawings from computer.
Forklift license

Responsibilities

Operate a fork truck.
Operate an overhead crane.
Experience in inventory management.
Use prescribed Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
Count and verify all incoming material matches packing slips.
Accurately receive material into NetSuite.
Maintain proper inventory by doing periodic cycle counts.
Assist production by stocking components where needed.
Rotate inventory to use aging inventory first.
Keep shop organized.
Create REQ’s for purchasing.
Work independently with minimum supervision.
Work overtime (if needed) to assure production schedule is met and lines are supplied.
Follow safety policies and procedures.
Perform other tasks as assigned.
