We deliver the advantage that protects our sailors, our families and our freedom! We are seeking a detail-oriented Receipt Inspector to join our Quality team. This role is responsible for inspecting, verifying, and documenting incoming materials, components, and equipment to ensure compliance with purchase order requirements, drawings, specifications, and quality standards. The ideal candidate will be highly organized, thorough, and able to work in a fast-paced environment where accuracy is critical.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent OR a minimum of 2 years related technical experience
  • 2+ years of experience in quality inspection, or related manufacturing / industrial environment
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings, specifications, and technical work instructions
  • Experience using basic precision measurement instruments (calipers, micrometers, etc.)
  • Strong attention to detail and accuracy in documentation
  • Basic computer skills, including Microsoft Office or similar software.
  • Must be able to navigate Email and MS Office programs effectively.
  • Must be able to maintain EB certifications and training requirements in Cornerstone.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a security clearance through the department of defense

Nice To Haves

  • Associates degree, technical certification, or previous training in quality
  • Prior experience in receipt inspection or aerospace/defense/manufacturing environment
  • Experience with Oracle ERP
  • Vocational, Technical and Community Colleges or Apprentice programs

Responsibilities

  • Perform inspection and measurement in various conditions
  • Demonstrate competency in understanding Electric Boat procedures
  • Must be able to obtain Receipt Inspection Grade ‘A’ Qualification
  • Must obtain Electronic Static Discharge ESD Qualification
  • Coordinate and work with Analysts and Supervisor on proper handling procedures and plans for work
  • Pre-plan tools and requirements for scheduled jobs
  • Review drawings prior to schedule work
  • Pass Jaeger vision testing
  • Identify and implement ways to improve job functions
  • Maintain training requirements and refreshers (LMS)
  • Complete Material Control within 6 months of hire
  • Complete Peer to Peer training within 6 month of hire
