Recall Repair Specialist

About The Position

The Recall Repair Specialist travels within an assigned area to visit vehicle owners at their latest registered address, explain open vehicle recalls, build trust, and obtain authorization to complete repairs onsite. The role is primarily focused on face-to-face customer interaction and requires spending most of the day on the road. Specialists also perform intermediate-level approved mobile repairs according to manufacturer guidelines after receiving specific training. Light mechanical and tool knowledge is recommended.

Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent.
Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
1–3+ years of customer service or sales experience.
Light mechanical and/or tool knowledge.
Ability to complete and maintain required certifications for mobile repairs.
Comfort working independently.
Ability to work Saturdays and travel occasionally.
Strong communication, customer service, and follow-up skills.
Physical ability to get in and out of a vehicle, ascend and descend stairs, work outdoors in varying weather, and move objects weighing up to 20 pounds.

Nice To Haves

Automotive technician background.
Bilingual in English and Spanish.

Responsibilities

Connect with vehicle owners face-to-face in the field.
Explain the importance of recall repairs and encourage customers not to delay them.
Obtain customer authorization and clearly explain the repair process.
Perform mobile recall repairs according to manufacturer guidelines and training.
Answer questions, address concerns, and handle objections confidently.
Document completed repairs, parts usage, and outcomes in internal systems.
Work independently while meeting goals.
