About The Position

This part-time position, 28 hours per week, involves assisting members with real estate loan applications, processing, closings, and disbursements. The role requires maintaining high standards of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality while supporting the strategic priorities of the organization. The schedule is flexible but requires availability between 8:00 AM and 6:00 PM, Monday through Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Assist members with real estate loan applications, loan processing/closings and loan disbursements.
  • Exemplify the core values of CAMPUS while supporting strategic priorities for members, employees, and community.
  • Maintain the highest standard of professionalism, integrity, and confidentiality.
  • Review residential loan application files to verify completeness and adherence to credit union standards, including loan type, amount, borrower assets, liabilities, and employment length; recommend denial for loans not meeting standards.
  • Prepare loan application forms and submit mortgage loan application files for underwriting approval.
  • Prepare closing documents and/or loan modification documents for new and existing loans.
  • Contact specified companies to obtain property abstract, survey, and appraisal; inform supervisor of discrepancies in title or survey.
  • Record data on loan status, including the number of new applications and loans approved, canceled, or denied.
  • Assist with periodic RE Operations projects such as homeowners insurance follow-up, property tax payments, construction draws, and escrow analysis.
