About The Position

Public Service Credit Union is seeking a detail-oriented Real Estate Loan Processor to support the processing of Home Equity Loans and Home Equity Lines of Credit (HELOCs) from application through closing and funding. In this role, you will partner closely with Loan Officers, Underwriters, members, and third-party vendors to ensure loan files are complete, accurate, and compliant. Requirements

  • High School Diploma or GED.
  • 1+ year of experience in loan processing, mortgage lending, real estate lending, consumer lending, or a related field.
  • Experience processing Home Equity Loans, HELOCs, or mortgage loans.
  • Familiarity with loan origination systems (LOS) and lending software.
  • Working knowledge of real estate loan documentation and processing requirements.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to prioritize multiple deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office 365, including Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams, and SharePoint.
  • Ability to work independently and collaboratively within a team environment.

  • NMLS registration preferred.

Responsibilities

  • Process Home Equity Loans and Home Equity Lines of Credit from application through closing and funding.
  • Review loan applications and documentation for completeness and accuracy.
  • Collect and verify required income, asset, insurance, and property documentation.
  • Prepare and distribute required disclosures and notices in accordance with regulations and credit union procedures.
  • Order, track, and review title work, flood certifications, AVMs, appraisals, and other required services.
  • Monitor loan conditions and follow up with members, Loan Officers, Underwriters, and third-party providers as needed.
  • Maintain accurate loan files and update information within the loan origination system.
  • Coordinate loan closings with members, title companies, and internal stakeholders.
  • Prepare loan documents and closing packages.
  • Verify all conditions have been satisfied prior to closing and funding.
  • Complete post-closing requirements and funding activities.
  • Provide timely updates regarding loan status and outstanding documentation requirements.
  • Maintain confidentiality and protect sensitive member information.
  • Ensure compliance with all applicable regulations, credit union policies, and the Bank Secrecy Act (BSA).
  • Perform other duties as assigned.
