About The Position

Oklahoma's Credit Union (OKCU) is seeking a Real Estate Loan Officer for their South OKC Branch. Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
  • Two years of experience in a similar position.
  • Or a combination of four years of college level education and experience in a similar position.
  • Meet NMLS licensing requirements and maintain NMLS registration.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures.

Nice To Haves

  • State Mortgage Broker License preferred.
  • FHA and VA Lending experience preferred.
  • Construction Lending experience preferred.
  • Multi-lingual capabilities to include Spanish are a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Provide outstanding member service and contribute to overall team effort.
  • Fully understand and actively assist members in using credit union products and services.
  • Originate investment quality mortgage loans (FHA, VA, conventional, non-conforming) by selling mortgage lending products and services to the realtor and home builder communities.
  • Interview members to obtain all personal and financial data needed to complete loan and/or membership applications.
  • Analyze member applications, financial status, credit, and property evaluations to determine feasibility of granting loan; approve or submit application for verification and recommendation.
  • Ensure loan agreements are complete and accurate according to policy and requirements in regulations, i.e., FHA Title I and II, or secondary market purchases.
  • Counsel members on financial issues when appropriate.
  • Disburse loans and complete documentation accurately and efficiently.
  • Track applications approved, booked, or denied; actively follow up on pending applications.
  • Meet individual goals as assigned and work to meet branch and credit union goals.
  • Meet NMLS licensing requirements and maintain NMLS registration.
  • Ensure confidentiality regarding member transactions and information.
  • Ensure compliance with all credit union policies and procedures.
