The Real Estate Loan Portfolio Officer will manage and monitor the performance, quality, and risk profile of the Bank’s commercial and residential real estate loan portfolio. This role involves conducting ongoing portfolio reviews, credit analyses, covenant monitoring, and risk assessments to identify emerging risks and ensure timely resolution of exceptions. The officer will analyze borrower financial statements, property performance, market conditions, and third-party information to evaluate credit quality and portfolio trends, and ensure timely completion of loan renewals, modifications, annual reviews, and other portfolio monitoring requirements. Additionally, the role involves leading the review, analysis, and management of criticized and classified assets, including commercial real estate loan workouts, restructurings, modifications, and loss mitigation strategies. The officer will develop and recommend resolution strategies for problem loans, monitor workout plans, and coordinate with various internal and external stakeholders. This position also requires directing, coaching, mentoring, and developing Portfolio Management staff, conducting performance evaluations, and fostering a culture of collaboration and compliance. The role is accountable for departmental readiness for audits and examinations, serving as the primary liaison for auditors and regulators, and ensuring portfolio management records are maintained in a manner that supports regulatory compliance.
