About The Position

Michigan Schools & Government Credit Union (MSGCU) is seeking a Real Estate Lending (Mortgage) Analyst to administer, configure, maintain, and support real estate lending systems. This role ensures reliable and efficient day-to-day operations by providing technical support, system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and user administration. The analyst will serve as the subject matter expert for real estate lending systems, supporting system enhancements, implementations, and projects. The position involves monitoring system performance, maintaining documentation, supporting system improvements, and staying current with industry advances and regulatory requirements. Key responsibilities include administering user profiles, security permissions, business rules, workflow progression, and document generation. The role also involves monitoring vendor integrations, supporting system upgrades, and assisting with user acceptance testing. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the loan lifecycle and excellent communication and collaboration skills.

Requirements

  • Associate's degree in Business Administration, Computer Science, or related field preferred.
  • 3 years of real estate lending end-to-end analysis experience.
  • Requirements gathering and documentation.
  • Data analytics and planning.
  • Systems coordination and process improvements.
  • Strong knowledge of Encompass functionality and ability to coach end-users on how to utilize it effectively.
  • Experience in configuration of all areas of Encompass settings including personas, user groups, eFolder, loan templates, reports, input form builder and all types of business rules.
  • Strong understanding of loan lifecycle.

Nice To Haves

  • Certification in Encompass Administration.
  • ICE Developer Connect Certification.
  • Experience using Encompass and its interfaces.
  • Experience with VB.net, C#, FICS Mortgage Servicer, Symitar, MS Visio, MS Excel, or SQL.

Responsibilities

  • Administer, configure, maintain, and support real estate lending systems to ensure reliable and efficient day-to-day operations.
  • Provide technical support, system configuration, testing, troubleshooting, and user administration activities while maintaining system integrity, data accuracy, compliance, and operational effectiveness.
  • Serve as a real estate lending systems subject matter expert for end users and support system enhancements, implementations, and projects related to real estate lending systems.
  • Monitor real estate lending system performance, workflows, and data integrity to support efficient day-to-day operations and a positive member experience.
  • Maintain system documentation, administrative procedures, and configuration settings.
  • Support implementation of approved system enhancements and process improvements.
  • Stay current on industry advances, system administration guidelines, and regulatory requirements to support operational effectiveness and system stability.
  • Identify system issues, operational inefficiencies, and enhancement opportunities and escalate as appropriate.
  • Administer user profiles, security permissions, business rules, workflow progression, regulatory compliance updates, document generation libraries, custom loan documents, and eFolder settings.
  • Monitor vendor integrations and interfaces to ensure proper functionality and coordinate issue resolution with vendors, IT, and business partners.
  • Support system upgrades, releases, testing, deployment activities, and end user training by preparing documentation, executing test plans, and validating system functionality.
  • Create, maintain, and distribute recurring and ad-hoc reports that support business needs, decision making, and operational efficiency.
  • Monitor reporting accuracy, data integrity, and system-generated outputs to ensure reliability of information.
  • Maintain scheduled reporting processes and support automation activities within real estate lending systems.
  • Assist business stakeholders with reporting requests, data validation, and troubleshooting related reporting issues.
  • Support corporate projects involving real estate lending systems, system enhancements, and operational process improvements.
  • Assist with gathering business needs, documenting system requirements, executing test plans, and supporting implementation activities.
  • Maintain documentation related to system changes, configurations, and procedures.
  • Support compliance with applicable regulations, internal controls, and organizational standards by monitoring system activities, identifying potential issues, and escalating potential risks or concerns to appropriate stakeholders.
  • Assist with user acceptance testing, issue resolution, and post-implementation support activities.
