About The Position

A highly respected national law firm is seeking a Real Estate Land Use Associate Attorney to join its Dallas office. This opportunity is ideal for an attorney interested in representing developers, investors, landowners, and other real estate industry clients in sophisticated land use, zoning, and development matters.

Requirements

5+ years of land use, zoning, real estate, or related experience gained at a sophisticated law firm or governmental agency
Experience representing developers, landowners, investors, and other real estate industry participants
Strong legal research, drafting, negotiation, analytical, and communication skills
Excellent academic credentials
J.D. from an ABA-accredited law school required
Active Texas bar admission required

Nice To Haves

Experience supporting real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects is preferred

Responsibilities

Representing developers, investors, landowners, and other real estate industry clients in sophisticated land use, zoning, and development matters.
Handling land use entitlements, zoning matters, permitting, annexations, subdivisions, and development approvals.
Appearing before municipal boards, planning commissions, zoning authorities, and governmental agencies.
Advising clients regarding land development regulations, comprehensive plans, and environmental or regulatory compliance matters.
Supporting real estate acquisitions, dispositions, and development projects.
Managing sophisticated matters while working directly with clients, consultants, and governmental authorities.
