About The Position

The Real Estate Coordinator completes real estate activities and special projects for Operations and the Real Estate Department, including coordination of key compliance controls. The position is based at Encompass Health’s Home Office in Birmingham, Alabama, and provides support to the Senior Vice President of Real Estate and Vice President of Real Estate.

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Two or more years of experience in corporate real estate, corporate accounting, or commercial accounting; real estate-related experience is preferred.
• Proficiency with word-processing, spreadsheet, and database software applications.

Nice To Haves

• Coursework in Business Administration or a related area.
• Corporate or commercial accounting experience related to real estate.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate the Fair Market Survey process.
• Coordinate the MAI Appraisal process.
• Coordinate compliance tracking related to physician referral sources.
• Work on special projects involving development, leasing, sale, or purchase of business units.
• Coordinate ADA initiatives.
• Review consultant invoices and process check requests.
• Track invoices and payments to service providers.
• Research and resolve property issues.
• Research and resolve legal issues.
• Update the real estate portfolio database.
• Provide support to the SVP Real Estate and VP Real Estate.
• Manage active and archived real estate documents.
• Coordinate external and internal resources to achieve company objectives and business unit needs.
• Meet position requirements and perform essential functions.
