About The Position

Brixmor is seeking a Real Estate Attorney to join its Regional Legal Services team, with a primary focus on commercial retail leasing. Under the direction of the VP of Regional Legal Services, the attorney will draft, review, and negotiate leases, lease amendments, and related commercial real estate agreements.

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school and an active license in at least one U.S. jurisdiction.
• Minimum three years of experience drafting and negotiating commercial real estate leases.
• Strong drafting, negotiation, communication, and organizational skills.
• Ability to manage a high volume of transactions in a fast-paced, business-oriented environment.

Nice To Haves

• Retail leasing experience is strongly preferred.

Responsibilities

• Draft, review, and negotiate retail leases, amendments, and related agreements.
• Manage assigned leasing transactions from initial draft through execution.
• Review LOIs and other deal materials to ensure lease documents accurately reflect approved business terms.
• Work directly with internal business teams, tenants, tenant counsel, brokers, and other third parties.
• Identify and resolve routine legal issues and escalate significant matters as appropriate.
