Real Estate Acquisitions Analyst – Multifamily
About The Position
We are seeking an Acquisitions Analyst to build the financial models that drive our investment decisions. You will work directly with the CEO, who will provide hands-on mentorship and to whom you will report, gaining exposure to every stage of the acquisition process from initial underwriting through closing. This role is a great fit for someone who is hungry, hard-working, and eager to build a career in real estate finance. We are looking for a self-motivated learner who brings drive and a strong work ethic, and takes ownership of their work, is genuinely interested in finance and real estate investing, wants to learn quickly and grow into greater responsibility, is self-motivated and proactive, finding answers and adding value without waiting to be asked, and is detail-oriented and comfortable in a fast-paced, deal-driven environment.
Requirements
- Strong interest in multifamily and commercial real estate
- Strong Excel skills, including financial modeling
- Degree in Real Estate, Business, Economics, Finance, or a related field, or 2 years experience in acquisitions
Nice To Haves
- Experience with other asset classes (industrial, office, retail)
- Experience with Argus modelling
- Experience with discounted cash flow modelling
- Experience working onsite at an apartment property
Responsibilities
- Produce and maintain financial models in Excel and Argus, primarily for multifamily real estate acquisitions
- Underwrite and analyze our top-position prospects
- Support the acquisition pipeline from sourcing through closing
- Manage due diligence on prospective acquisitions
- Prepare investment summaries and reporting directly for the CEO
