Requirements

  • Business or Finance degree preferred
  • Demonstrated interest and/or experience working in infrastructure broadly, with exposure to project finance, infrastructure advisory, or infrastructure investing
  • Strong financial modeling skills
  • Ability to work on multiple projects with tight deadlines
  • Ability to use a broad range of tools and techniques to extract insights and solve problems
  • Substantial years of experience preferably at a Big Four firm, bank, asset manager, fund, or similar environment
  • Demonstrated ability to learn and problem-solve, with a curious mindset and comfort working in ambiguous situations
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to mentor junior team members and collaborate with diverse teams

Nice To Haves

  • Candidates who specialized in finance
  • Sector-specific experience is considered an asset but not required
  • Familiarity with tools such as Bloomberg, Capital IQ, or similar platforms is considered an asset
  • Progress towards or completion of a professional finance designation, such as the CFA, is preferred
  • Familiarity with AI / GenAI use cases is considered an asset

Responsibilities

  • Support transaction teams on project finance and infrastructure engagements
  • Actively contribute to project developments, financings, and transactions within the infrastructure space
  • Develop and review financial models and perform complex data analysis, including preparing visual representations of data
  • Conduct financial and commercial analysis of projects and companies, including feasibility assessments and cash-flow analysis
  • Lead the preparation of client reports, presentations, and information memorandums
  • Undertake market research and benchmarking exercises and stay current on developments in the Canadian infrastructure market
  • Contribute business development initiatives, including the preparation of pitch decks, marketing materials, and proposals
  • Coach and review work completed by Associates, while working collaboratively with managers and senior team members
