Purpose: The successful candidate will join our Curriculum Project Team in the Center for Reading Science. Reading Opens Worlds (ROW) is a Prek-2nd grade integrated literacy, science, and social studies curriculum. This is a grant-supported, full-time (12-month), non-tenure-track position, with funding secured through June 2028. There is a possibility of continued funding after June 2028.

Requirements

A master’s degree in reading or a related field is required; doctoral degree preferred (ABD candidates are welcome to apply)
Extensive teaching experience in PreK–5 reading instruction
Proven ability to prepare educators in evidence-based reading practices
Experience working with diverse students, families, and school communities
Experience writing instructional materials
The ability to work collaboratively and effectively with faculty, staff, students, alumni, and professional partners is essential.

Responsibilities

Support the Language Comprehension team with projects including, but not limited to, writing lessons, materials development, and editing.
Serve on the curriculum project team in our Center for Reading Science.
Providing service to the graduate program, department, university, and the professional community.
Other duties as assigned.
