About The Position

Lockheed Martin is seeking engineers to support their USSTRATCOM software teams which create Planning and Command and Control (C2) capabilities as part of the Strategic Mission Planning and Execution System (SMPES) in a DevSecOps environment. In this role, you will help the team create modern Web-based, Java mission systems for the Nuclear community. The successful candidate will have experience with software systems built to exacting standards that are delivered on a DevSecOps cadence using Agile Scrum. This is a full-time Front-End Software Engineer role where you will work as part of a cross-functional Agile team to implement new mission capability UIs and help develop a re-usable UI component library. Your software will need to reflect secure coding, architectural, and usability best practices as you work with a UX Designer to deliver impactful capability. This position also includes collaborating with architecture, cyber, test, and product owner stakeholders. This position will require a government security clearance.

Requirements

BS in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or equivalent STEM field
Ability to develop Web code in an Agile / DevSecOps team environment
Familiarity with React or Angular
Must be a US Citizen
Ability to work remotely

Nice To Haves

Ability to collaborate w/ UX Designers and Backend Developers to align on tradeoffs
Familiarity with building reusable UI components
Experience with AI Code generation
Familiarity with development tooling VS Code, GitLab, GIT, JIRA
Familiarity with UI testing frameworks (Selenium, Cypress)
Engineering experience with AFNWC SMPES, MPAS, NPES Systems
