React/Node Architect

About The Position

We are seeking a highly experienced React/Node Architect Sr. Developer with a strong background in building applications using modern web technologies. The ideal candidate will have extensive experience in responsive design, single-page architecture, and developing RESTful APIs. This role involves full ownership of software architecture, design, and development, with a focus on backend microservices and API development using Node.js, REST, JSON, Docker, and NoSQL databases.

Requirements

  • 7+ years of experience building applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, and HTML.
  • 7+ years of experience in Responsive design and Single page architecture.
  • At least 7 years of experience developing RESTful APIs.
  • 4+ years of experience with a unit testing library (JEST, Mocha) or tools like Junit, Selenium, Cucumber JS.
  • Experience in emerging and traditional technologies such as: Node.js, React, REST, JSON, Java Spring Boot, HTML5, CSS / SCSS, Selenium, NGINX, Kubernetes, Express, Chef, Docker, NoSql databases and Git/Github/Bitbucket.
  • Hands-on backend microservices & API development using Node.js, REST, JSON, Docker, NoSql databases and Tomcat with full ownership of software architecture, design and development.
  • Experience with AWS services such as Cloud Formation Templates, S3, EC2, Lambda, Route53, CloudFront, API Gateway(Apigee).

Nice To Haves

  • Ability to work in an Agile /SCRUM environment.
  • Familiar with frameworks such as Angular, Ionic.
  • Native app development experience is a huge plus.
  • Familiarity with code versioning tools - Git (Gitlab).
  • Exposure to retail industry.
  • Experience with e-commerce applications.

Responsibilities

  • Architect, design, and develop applications using React, Node.js, JavaScript, CSS/SCSS, and HTML.
