About The Position

Safety Mojo is an AI-powered safety management app for frontline professionals in high-risk industries, including construction and oil and gas. The company has established product-market fit and is growing beyond its startup phase. Safety Mojo is seeking an experienced senior mobile developer to build a core mobile application from the ground up. The app must work both online and offline, manage data locally, and download and upload data through background processes. As the application becomes production-ready, the developer will also help provide a foundation for continued growth of the mobile team. This is an individual-contributor role in Product Development, within Engineering, based in the Sandy HQ office. The role is exempt and salaried, with a stated pay range of $130,000–$175,000 plus bonus.

Requirements

6–12 years of general development experience, with a strong focus on React Native.
Proven experience scaling applications and optimizing systems for high performance.
Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented environment.
Strong communication skills, including the ability to explain complex technical concepts to technical and non-technical stakeholders.
Solid understanding of managing and maintaining local data for applications that operate with and without internet connectivity.

Responsibilities

Design, develop, and maintain a high-performance mobile application using React Native.
Build an offline-first experience that handles large volumes of data transfer to and from the backend.
Develop and optimize database structures for local mobile use.
Write clean, documented, reusable code that follows industry best practices, security guidelines, and standards.
Collaborate with developers, product managers, and other stakeholders to understand requirements and develop solutions aligned with business goals.
Diagnose and resolve complex issues promptly, and implement robust solutions to prevent recurrence.
Stay current with emerging technologies, tools, and industry trends, and advocate for improvements to technology and team processes.
