About The Position
HIAAH is seeking a detail-oriented Medical Billing & Insurance Coordinator to support billing operations across a growing mental health practice. This role is responsible for ensuring visits are accurately translated into billable claims, supporting both claim success and patient billing. Accurate charge entry and insurance verification directly impact claim approvals, reduce denials, and improve revenue performance.
Requirements
- Experience in medical billing, insurance, or healthcare admin
- Understanding of claims, copays, deductibles, and patient balances
- Strong attention to detail and organization
- Professional communication skills
Responsibilities
- Create accurate charge slips using provider documentation
- Perform detailed insurance eligibility verification
- Identify potential claim issues before submission
- Manage patient balances and conduct billing-related outreach
- Respond to patient billing inquiries professionally
- Coordinate with Revenue Operations to resolve billing issues
- Support front-end staff in ensuring clean, billable data
