About The Position
BehaviorCare Therapy is seeking Paraprofessionals to work with children on the autism spectrum in their homes. This role involves providing 1-on-1 support to children with autism or developmental delays, helping them build daily living skills, communication, independence, and confidence through play-based ABA therapy. The therapy is designed by a licensed BCBA, and the technician will work consistently with the same children to help them make progress in their everyday environments. This is a hands-on, high-impact role that requires patience, energy, and creativity. The company provides training and support to meet each child's unique needs.
Requirements
- Experience working with children (SPED Para, 1:1 Aide or Classroom Aide, after-school programs, caregiving, autism)
- Afternoon/evening availability
- Reliable transportation
- Must pass a background check
Nice To Haves
- ABA experience a plus
- Weekend availability a plus
Responsibilities
- Work one-on-one with kids in their homes to help them learn and grow using play-based ABA techniques.
- Follow simple step-by-step treatment plans made by your supervisor (BCBA).
- Track progress during each session using an easy data system on your phone or tablet.
- Team up with your BCBA and fellow techs to keep things consistent and effective.
- Give feedback to families about how the session went and celebrate small wins together.
