The Raw Material Planning Analyst is responsible for ensuring a seamless supply of stocked and Just-In-Time (JIT) raw materials by reviewing the finished goods production plan. This role involves recording and monitoring Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) to drive business decisions, evaluating inventory strategies based on supplier performance, production needs, and market conditions, and coordinating with the inventory control team to verify inventory levels. The analyst will also manage material changes, balance outs, and trials for raw materials and packaging, as well as handle Purchase Order (PO) creation, distribution to suppliers, and updates to accommodate changing finished goods schedules. A key aspect of this role is monitoring and analyzing business trends, identifying opportunities and risks, and making planning recommendations to ensure an unbiased plan that supports strategic initiatives. Additionally, the analyst will be involved in supplier development initiatives, identifying and implementing cost savings and continuous improvement opportunities, requesting and reviewing Cost and Production Bill Of Materials, and leading decision-making in routine and non-routine situations. Performing usage adjustments is also part of the responsibilities.
