To support our extraordinary teams who build great products and contribute to our growth, we’re looking to add a Material Planning Analyst located in Austin TX. Reporting to the Director, Materials Planning the Material Planning Analyst role involves maintaining materials/purchasing data, supplying data and information to other production departments, coordinating contracts, maintaining Certificates of Conformance for all suppliers, and creating and maintaining outsource parts schedules.

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in related field or equivalent experience.
  • 5 years of experience in materials or related field.
  • Experience in Materials Planning in Manufacturing
  • Expert level in Excel, PowerPoint
  • Experience in forecasting, spend, inventory, and performance reports to Finance, Operations and cost negotiations
  • Strong knowledge in customer interfacing

  • Background in Electronics Manufacturing Industry ideal

Responsibilities

  • Develop, maintain, and update demand, consumption, and spend forecasting models for assigned programs and business segments.
  • Manage material lifecycle activities including inventory accuracy, shelf-life monitoring, expiration control, and cycle count coordination.
  • Validate consumption assumptions with Engineering and other stakeholders to improve forecast accuracy and planning effectiveness.
  • Provide regular forecasting, spend, inventory, and performance reports to Finance, Operations, and business stakeholders.
  • Monitor material availability, supplier performance, and potential supply risks; communicate constraints and recovery plans promptly.
  • Drive shortage mitigation activities, including expediting materials, coordinating with suppliers, and providing stakeholder updates.
  • Identify and implement opportunities to reduce excess inventory, scrap, and write-offs through effective inventory optimization strategies.
  • Collaborate with Purchasing, Supply Chain, and sourcing teams to ensure timely material procurement, deliveries, and cost management.
  • Develop and maintain planning processes, work instructions, and reporting standards while overseeing support teams to ensure data accuracy and process compliance.
  • Lead continuous improvement and cost reduction initiatives related to material planning, forecasting accuracy, inventory management, and supply continuity, and present key metrics during management reviews.
