About The Position

The Raw Material Master Data Specialist is responsible for improving the accuracy, consistency, and governance of raw material master data within Mustang Survival’s ERP system (NetSuite). This position exists to support a critical data-cleansing initiative in preparation for future Product Lifecycle Management (PLM) implementation. The incumbent will review and analyze thousands of existing raw material records to identify duplicate, obsolete, and inconsistent entries. They will document the correct material entries utilizing the standardized naming conventions and ensure material certifications and supporting documentation are correctly linked to approved material records. Success in this role requires resourcefulness and a willingness to dive deep into data “rabbit holes” (with factories, vendors, the material team, designers, and developers) to come up with the right answers. This is methodical, detail-intensive work. The ideal candidate is comfortable spending extended periods in an ERP resolving ambiguous records and finds satisfaction in bringing order to messy systems. The objective will be to achieve a trusted and accurate raw material database that can be effectively migrated into future PLM systems while improving operational efficiency and material visibility across the organization.

Requirements

  • Diploma or degree in Business, Supply Chain, Materials Management, Information Systems, Product Development, Textile Sciences, or related discipline preferred.
  • 2–5 years of experience in ERP administration, master data management, materials management, supply chain, or related functions.
  • Experience with NetSuite or similar ERP systems required.
  • Experience with data cleansing, governance, migration, and documentation initiatives.
  • Strong analytical skills, attention to detail, and organizational capability.
  • Effective communication and stakeholder management skills.
  • Resourcefulness, detail-oriented and comfortable digging in.

Responsibilities

  • Conduct detailed reviews of existing raw material records
  • Analyze duplicate, redundant, obsolete, and inconsistent material entries.
  • Determine whether multiple material records represent the same material or unique records.
  • Implement standardized material naming conventions and data structures.
  • Update and maintain material records in accordance with approved standards.
  • Create documentation supporting naming standards and data governance requirements.
  • Review and organize material certification documentation.
  • Ensure certifications are accurately linked to approved material records.
  • Support management of compliance documentation including: OEKO-TEX certifications, bluesign approvals, PFAS declarations, Other material compliance documentation as required
  • Organize Tier 1 and Tier 2 supplier documentation.
  • Support material traceability initiatives by ensuring supplier information is accurate and complete.
  • Identify gaps in supplier and material documentation and coordinate corrective actions.
  • Assist in validating raw material information used within Bills of Materials (BOMs).
  • Identify data inconsistencies that may impact product development, sourcing, manufacturing, or compliance activities.
  • Perform data quality checks and validation activities to ensure accuracy and completeness.
  • Support organizational readiness for future PLM implementation.
  • Collaborate with cross-functional stakeholders to resolve data issues and establish requirements.
  • Achieve metrics for success and own project execution.
  • Communicating progress, achievements, challenges, risks, and resource needs on a regular basis.
