Airport Part Time Ramp Agent - CHA
About The Position
Unifi Aviation is hiring a part-time Ramp Agent at Chattanooga Airport. The role supports aircraft and passenger operations by marshalling aircraft, handling baggage and freight, operating ramp equipment, and potentially performing cabin service. New employees receive paid training; prior experience is not required. The listed base pay rate is $15.00 per hour. The position works rotating A.M., P.M., and overnight shifts, with schedules across the days of the week, and may require nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime. Work takes place outdoors and may involve severe seasonal weather.
Requirements
- High school diploma or GED.
- At least 18 years of age.
- Ability to obtain credentials required by airport, state, or customs requirements.
- Valid driver's license.
- Ability to frequently lift more than 70 pounds and constantly lift up to 70 pounds.
- Ability to constantly push and pull up to 70 pounds, and constantly walk, stand, reach above shoulder level, climb, crawl, stoop, squat, kneel, and bend.
- Ability and willingness to work rotating shifts and hours, including nights, weekends, holidays, and overtime.
- Ability and willingness to work outdoors in weather that may include severe seasonal conditions.
Responsibilities
- Marshall arriving, departing, and towed aircraft on the ramp.
- Perform wing-walker duties to protect aircraft wings from equipment during pushback and de-ice aircraft as required.
- Load, unload, sort, and transfer passenger baggage, airmail, freight, and company materials to and from aircraft bins, belt loaders, and baggage carts.
- Operate ramp equipment, including bag tugs, belt loaders, aircraft tow tractors, water servicing vehicles, and lavatory servicing vehicles.
- Perform assigned cabin service duties, such as servicing aircraft, cleaning lavatories and cabins, and restocking supplies.
- Follow safety procedures, policies, and company operational standards.
- Report safety and security incidents and potential hazards immediately in accordance with the Unifi Fair and Just Culture Policy.
- Perform other related duties within the skill, experience, and capabilities expected for the position.
