About The Position

The Rail Infrastructure – Montréal team delivers studies, detailed designs, inspections, and construction support for railway projects of all sizes across Québec, Canada, and internationally. The team works closely with other disciplines such as geotechnical, structural, electrical, and systems engineering to deliver fully integrated track and related infrastructure designs, including cable routes, walkways, retaining structures, as well as tunnel and guideway layouts. Your Role Participate, as part of the Rail Infrastructure team, in multidisciplinary projects involving the design, construction, assessment, rehabilitation, and study of railway infrastructure, including track and associated components. Produce technical deliverables such as drawings, plans, technical reports, and specifications. Apply and promote quality best practices in the preparation of technical deliverables. Perform technical calculations, verifications, and document reviews, and participate in quality control processes. Support the training and mentoring of technicians or new team members. Coordinate or contribute to the work of small technical teams in the production of deliverables. Review and analyze received data such as topographic surveys, supplier documentation, and material information. Contribute to bids and proposals related to your area of expertise. Perform 3D modelling.

Requirements

  • College diploma (DEC) or a relevant technical certificate (civil engineering, infrastructure, technical drafting, or equivalent).
  • 5 to 10 years of experience in computer‑aided design, including AutoCAD and/or Bentley (2D and 3D).
  • Experience with track geometry, horizontal and vertical alignment, best‑fit analysis, assemblies, and corridors.
  • Ability to work with survey data and extract relevant measurements for assessing existing conditions.
  • Ability to work in French; knowledge of English is an asset for pan‑Canadian projects.

Nice To Haves

  • Knowledge of North American railway environments (a strong asset).
  • Experience with CAD automation or specialized tool programming (an asset).
