RailPros is seeking a Railroad Safety Flagger (Roadway Worker in Charge - RWIC) to provide on-site roadway worker protection for activities on and around live railroad tracks. This role involves job site coordination, dispatcher/train communication, and ensuring On-Track Safety in controlled and non-controlled track areas. The RWIC is responsible for error-free protection consistent with railroad rules, including radio communication with train dispatchers and engineers, ensuring work groups are clear of limits during train movements, and granting permission for trains and on-track equipment to proceed. The position also includes performing daily job briefings, preparing and submitting electronic forms, handling and placing safety equipment, participating in safety classes, and maintaining communication with supervisors. Upholding organizational standards of integrity, accountability, and respect is crucial, as is adherence to all company policies and applicable laws. This role requires extensive travel across Arizona, California, Idaho, Montana, Nevada, Oregon, and Washington, with eligibility for per diems and mileage reimbursement.
