Railroad Diesel Mechanic
About The Position
PRS is looking for an experienced Diesel Mechanic to join our team in a full-time permanent position working at our Bergen, NJ rail terminal in a recession-proof industry! The pay rate is commensurate with experience. This is a day shift position with 24/7 call out availability. The job location is the CSX North Bergen Terminal, 6201 Tonnelle Ave, North Bergen, NJ 07047. Candidates should have a minimum of 2 years of experience in the mechanical field and be preventative maintenance minded. Candidates must have their own tools, though a yearly tool allowance is provided. Experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components are required. A valid driver's license is also necessary.

- Verifiable mechanical experience
- Candidates must undergo a background check
- Must be able to pass a physical strength test
- Drug screening (Marijuana is strictly prohibited)
- Required to join local union
Responsibilities
- Diagnose and repair forklifts, company vehicles, and hostler fleet.
- Maintain Hostler Fleet
- Assist in other areas as needed by managers.
