About The Position

This is a hands-on, outdoor role where the Railcar Prepper will be responsible for preparing railcars for transport. The job involves physical work, including opening and closing railcar doors, inspecting for damage, removing debris and contaminants using tools like backpack blowers and scraping tools, and identifying potential repairs. The role requires climbing ladders up to 16-20 feet and lifting up to 50 lbs. Safety procedures must be strictly followed.

Requirements

• High School Diploma/GED or the ability to get one.
• Valid state driver's license.
• A love for teamwork and safety.
• A sense of humor and a strong work ethic.

Responsibilities

• Open and close railcar end doors.
• Inspect railcars for damage, fatigue, and anything suspicious.
• Identify repairs that our team can tackle.
• Climb ladders (16-20 feet high!) and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift.
• Follow all safety procedures.
