About The Position
Road & Rail Services is seeking a Railcar Prepper to perform essential cleaning and inspection functions necessary to prepare railcars for transport. This is a full-time position requiring work 6 days a week, starting at 7 am with a varying end time. The role involves ensuring railcars are ready for transport by cleaning, inspecting, and identifying potential repairs.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or Ability
- Safety first mentality
- Ability to work in fast paced environment
- Able to meet attendance requirements
- A team work, can do attitude and willing to learn
- Valid state driver's license
Responsibilities
- Comply with all industry, customer and company safety regulations and operating procedures
- Inspect and assist in opening and closing railcar end doors
- Inspect railcars for damage/fatigue
- Identify repairs that can be performed by Road & Rail Services
- Through the use of backpack blowers and various scraping devices remove all debris and other contaminates which could potentially cause vehicle damage
- Maintain accountability and maintenance for all assigned equipment
- Perform housekeeping duties as required by Management
