About The Position
This position involves outdoor work focused on preparing railcars for transport. The role includes opening and closing railcar doors, inspecting for damage, identifying repair needs, and removing debris and contaminants using tools like backpack blowers and scraping tools. The job requires physical activity, including climbing ladders up to 16-20 feet and lifting up to 50 lbs, while adhering strictly to safety procedures.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED or the ability to get one.
- Valid state driver's license.
- A love for teamwork and safety.
- A sense of humor and a strong work ethic.
Responsibilities
- Open and close railcar end doors.
- Inspect railcars for damage, fatigue, and anything suspicious.
- Identify repairs that our team can tackle.
- Climb ladders (16-20 feet high!) and lift up to 50 lbs. throughout your shift.
