About The Position

AtkinsRéalis is seeking a Rail and Transit Engineering Intern to join our New York, NY office. This role involves assisting in the planning, design, and production of engineering drawings using tools such as AutoCAD, MicroStation, and OpenRoads for R&T and other Infrastructure projects. The intern will also perform data acquisition and analysis, including collection of field data and routine engineering calculations. Participation in field observations and construction-related activities, including documentation of progress and quality-control data collection, is expected. Additionally, the intern will support general project management and operational workflows across the R&T business by coordinating cross-functional activities, tracking deliverables, compiling project documentation, and assisting with day-to-day business operations.

Requirements

  • Must have completed 60 hours towards a related degree from an accredited college/university by the start of the internship (Summer 2027).
  • Basic computer skills required to enter data into spreadsheets or databases.
  • Math skills to perform simple calculations.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

Nice To Haves

  • No experience is generally required if accepted into an Associate's or Bachelor's degree program in a related technical field.
