About The Position

We are seeking applicants for the Rail Terminal Truck Mechanic position to join our ever-growing team working at the BNSF Alliance, TX Rail Terminal in a recession proof industry! This position offers a Wednesday through Sunday shift from 2pm to midnight (10-hour shifts) with a starting pay of $21 - $24/hr, commensurate with experience. Candidates must currently live within a 45-minute commute of Haslet, TX. Out-of-area candidates and/or those requiring relocation will NOT be considered. You'll be employed directly by Pacific Rail Services and will not be an employee of the Railroad.

Requirements

Automotive and Diesel Mechanic experience is required.
Candidates must currently live within a 45 minute commute of Haslet, TX.
Minimum of 2 years of experience in the mechanical field.
Must have own tools (Yearly tool allowance provided).
Must have experience and knowledge working with Air, Electrical, Hydraulic, and Diesel systems and components.
Will need a valid driver's license.
Must have verifiable mechanical experience.
Candidates must undergo a background check.
Must be able to pass a physical strength test.
Drug screening (as we operate heavy machinery, Marijuana is strictly prohibited).
Required to join local union.

Nice To Haves

Preventative maintenance minded.
Prior experience working with Kalmar equipment, auto mechanics, changing oil, welding, fabrication, and working on diesel trucks.
