About The Position

Rail Terminal Services is hiring a Hostler Driver / Groundperson in Spokane, WA. This entry-level role offers full on-the-job training and combines Hostler Driver and Ground Person duties. Candidates should live within a 45-minute commute of Spokane, WA, as relocation or out-of-area candidates cannot be considered.

Requirements

Must be 18+ years old.
Possess a valid driver's license (CDL not required).
Ability to pass a 7-year background check (no felonies in the last 7 years, no jail/parole/probation in the last 5, and no pending charges).
Ability to pass a drug test and a physical capabilities test.
Strong communication skills.
A can-do attitude.

Nice To Haves

Previous experience in a warehouse, delivery driving, forklift operation, landscaping, or general labor roles.

Responsibilities

Drive a jockey truck, moving 53ft trailers, containers, and chassis around the rail yard.
Perform ground duties including climbing railcars, securing tracks, and handling connectors.
Collaborate with crane operators, guiding them with hand signals to load and unload equipment.
Stack and unstack chassis, and load/unload racks.
Assist wherever needed in a team-focused environment.
