About The Position

First Bus is one of the UK's leading bus operators, committed to delivering sustainable, comfortable, and efficient passenger journeys through cutting-edge bus technology and environmentally friendly vehicles. As a Rail Replacement Coordinator for First Travel Solutions (FTS), you will be a key representative, responsible for supervising and coordinating the safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events, and coach services. This role involves ensuring the safety of passengers, colleagues, and the public, providing assistance and information to passengers, and demonstrating excellent customer service. You will also maintain high standards in data collection via a coordination portal and assist FTS in auditing vehicle standards and regulations. This is a casual, field-based contract with annualised hours (minimum 10 hours per year), offering flexible shifts primarily on weekends, suitable for individuals passionate about transport and customer service who can work a variety of hours and locations.

A great communicator who is enthusiastic and approachable
Patient, reliable and calm when working under pressure
Confident working as a team and independently and using your own initiative
The flexibility to work a variety of shift times, including early mornings, evenings, late nights, and weekends
Access to your own transportation
Located 10 miles from one of the key stations
Physically able to be on your feet for up to 12 hours, handling passenger luggage in all weather conditions, sometimes without shelter (safety critical role and physically demanding)

Supervising and coordinating the safe and timely operation of rail replacement bus, events and coach services
Ensuring the safety of passengers, colleagues, the public and yourself
Providing assistance and information to passengers

Maintaining high standards in data collection via our coordination portal
Helping FTS in maintaining high vehicle standards and regulations auditing
