Join us and make it happen! We are currently seeking a Rail Loader to join the team! Love working with cars? Have mechanical or rail experience? The current hourly pay for this position is $30.25. Requirements

  • Must be able to work in all-weather conditions
  • Physically able to safely lift 50lbs at shoulder level
  • Able to work within the confined spaces of a railcar and work at heights of 20 feet 2 inches
  • Being able to work as part of a team

Nice To Haves

  • Previous rail department or mechanical experience preferred

Responsibilities

  • Prepare railcars for shipment, opening and closing railcar doors, setting bridge plates, chocking vehicles, chock replacement
  • Load and unload vehicles onto railcars in compliance with company quality standards
  • Ensure vehicles are properly spaced within the rail, secure vehicles according to customer standards onto outbound railcars
  • Conduct monthly inspections on bridge plates and paint bridge plates as needed
  • Drive and operate heavy equipment within the facility and off rail cars in an efficient and safe manner.
  • Read and understand departments SOP’s.
