About The Position

BluePearl Pet Hospital is seeking an exceptional Radiology Veterinary Assistant. The primary function of the Veterinary Assistant is to support the treatment of stable hospitalized patients and assist with diagnostics and treatments for stable outpatients.

Requirements

Helping with treatments of stable hospitalized patients
Helping with stable outpatient diagnostics and treatments
Venipuncture
Intravenous catheter placement
Clear and concise discharge instructions to clients
Maintenance of accurate records, including patient history, treatment details, and client communication
Assist with the completion of cost estimates
Perform diagnostics (i.e: CBC, Chem Panel, NOVA, iSTAT, UA)

Responsibilities

Patient intake and triage
Set-up and troubleshoot MRI room and machine
Operating diagnostic imaging equipment (primarily MRI) and assist in capturing radiographs and other diagnostic images
Venipuncture and intravenous catheter placement, according to associate level
Clear and concise discharge instructions to clients
Maintenance of accurate records, including patient history, treatment details, and client communication
Assist with the completion of cost estimates
Perform diagnostics (i.e: CBC, Chem Panel, NOVA, iSTAT, UA)
Work in conjunction with all technical staff across the hospital to ensure hospitalized patients receive optimal care
Maintain open communication with the Neurology Clinicians
