About The Position

This position is located at the Neurosurgery & Spine Clinic, Atrium Health Wake Forest Baptist in Greensboro, NC. The Radiology Technologist will perform and assist with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures, document patient history, confirm patient identification, prepare and administer contrast media, consult with radiologists and other physicians, select and operate equipment, and maintain appropriate records. The role requires knowledge of growth and development principles and skills appropriate to the patient population served.

Requirements

• Graduate of an institution accredited by an agency that ARRT recognizes in Radiologic Technology
• Must be registry eligible with registry completion within 1 year of hire date.
• BLS required

Responsibilities

• Performs and assists with radiographic and fluoroscopic procedures.
• Documents patient history pertaining to specific procedure on requisition submitted by physician.
• Confirms patient identification by verbal confirmation and validating proof of identity.
• Prepares and administers contrast media as required.
• Consults with radiologist and other physicians as necessary.
• Selects and operates equipment as dictated by demands of individual procedure and demonstrates correct and adequate anatomic positioning skills.
• Maintains appropriate records as required by departmental standards.
