About The Position

The Radiology Technologist performs general radiographic imaging procedures for adult and/or pediatric patients to support the diagnosis and treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders. This opening is in POB Radiology, an outpatient imaging setting focused on orthopedics, neuro, and spine imaging. The position is listed as 40 hours per week on days, with no weekends and no call. Missouri Baptist Medical Center’s Radiology Department provides diagnostic imaging services to patients and referring physicians, with an emphasis on competent, courteous, compassionate care and prompt service. The role involves preparing patients and equipment, explaining procedures and instructions to patients, and independently performing radiographic examinations, including portable exams and other assigned duties.

Requirements

Associate degree or trade school equivalent.
Registered Radiology Technologist certification.
IEMA certification for Illinois-only roles, excluding MRI.
No prior experience required.
No supervisor experience required.

Nice To Haves

Less than two years of experience.
Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) certification.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients and equipment for procedures.
Explain procedure instructions and what the procedure entails to patients, maintaining a high level of customer service and professionalism.
Independently perform radiographic imaging examinations, including portable exams and, when applicable, examinations in on-call situations.
Perform other tasks assigned by the department.
