About The Position

BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Radiology Technologist – Outpatient at South County Center for Advanced Med (CAM). This role involves performing general imaging radiographic procedures on adult and/or pediatric patients for diagnosis and/or treatment. The technologist will operate C-arm & Portable X-ray machines in an outpatient facility. The position offers a day shift schedule of 4 days per week with 9-hour shifts, specifically Monday through Wednesday from 9:30 am to 7:00 pm and Friday from 8:30 am to 6:00 pm. There are no weekend, call, or holiday duties required. The Center for Advanced Medicine - South County is a new outpatient facility jointly owned by Washington University School of Medicine and Barnes-Jewish Hospital, offering services including outpatient surgery, imaging, lab, therapy, and physician subspecialty offices. Imaging services will include plain film, CT, MRI, and screening mammography.

Requirements

• Associate degree or higher in related field
• Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)

Responsibilities

• Performs general imaging radiographic procedures to adult and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment of anatomic and physiologic disorders
• Operates C-arm & Portable X-ray machine
• Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
• Informs patient on instructions and what the procedure entails with a high level of customer service and professionalism.
• Performs radiographic imaging examinations independently, in on-call situations (if applicable), portable exams, and other tasks assigned by the department.
