About The Position
The Radiology Technologist at The Shriners Hospital for Children performs diagnostic imaging procedures, primarily X-rays, on pediatric patients to assist physicians in diagnosis and treatment. This role requires compassion, precision, and adherence to radiation safety protocols within a child-friendly healthcare environment.
Requirements
- High School Diploma/GED
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology program
- American Registry of Radiologic Technologist (ARRT)
- Basic Life Support (BLS)
- Current State License
Nice To Haves
- 1 year experience in pediatric/orthopedic radiology
Responsibilities
- Communicate effectively with patients, families, and staff in a fast-paced setting
- Maintain a high standard of safety, compliance, and patient satisfaction
- Responsible for a correctively positioning patients and ensuring that a quality radiographic image is produced
- Works closely with radiologists and physicians who interpret images to either diagnose or rule out disease or injury
- Demonstrates professional role requirements related to communication with peers and supervisor and flexibility during unexpected work-related events
- Maintains on going- plan for personal growth and self-development
