About The Position

Under remote supervision, the Radiology Technologist performs radiographic procedures ordered by physicians to assist with patient diagnosis and treatment. The position reports to the Assistant Director of Radiology and supports the HHMOB Imaging Department.

Requirements

Current New York State Radiologic Technologist License.
ARRT Certification.
Maintain a current New York State license.
Two years of work experience.
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification required within 90 days of hire.

Responsibilities

Produce radiographs according to established standard operating procedures.
Position and transfer patients and provide immobilization devices as required.
Select and operate equipment as directed.
Protect patients from radiation through shielding and appropriate exposure techniques.
Identify images with patient information and position markers.
Restock procedure rooms with appropriate supplies and linens daily.
Clean radiographic equipment and accessories daily.
Report damaged, non-functioning, or repair-needed equipment to the immediate supervisor.
Maintain compliance with HAZMET and Fire manuals and notify the supervisor of non-compliance issues.
Follow the Arnot Health Administrative Policy manual and the HHMOB Policy and Procedure manual.
Wear an ID badge and radiation badge and follow radiation safety practices, including the ALARA policy.
Maintain a professional appearance and attitude and comply with the Arnot Health dress code.
Assist in other areas of the HHMOB Imaging Department when not performing radiologic technologist duties.
Maintain records as directed.
