About The Position

Citizens Memorial Hospital is hiring a full-time Radiology Technologist for its Radiology Department in Bolivar, Missouri. The role is scheduled for evening shifts from 3 p.m. to 11 p.m., 72 hours per week. The department offers state-of-the-art radiology and imaging services, including a web-based Picture Archival Communication System (PACS) for rapid image distribution and a magnetic resonance imaging suite with current technology. The technologist prepares patients for examinations, positions or immobilizes them according to the procedure and their safety and physical and psychological needs, performs examinations and adjusts imaging controls, and processes data to ensure optimal images before the patient is discharged. The role also involves preparing solutions using sterile techniques, administering barium and IV contrast solutions, and documenting patient information in detailed records and electronic health systems.

Requirements

Complete a Radiology Technologist program with an associate degree from an accredited institution.
Certification through the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Customer service, communication, examination, and patient-safety skills.

Nice To Haves

Prior experience with CT is preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

Prepare patients for examinations and position or immobilize them according to the procedure and the patient's safety, physical, and psychological needs.
Perform examinations and adjust control-panel settings such as voltage, amperage, and exposure time.
Process data to ensure optimal imaging before patient discharge and re-image as necessary.
Prepare solutions using sterile techniques and administer barium and IV contrast solutions.
Document patient information, maintain detailed records, and update electronic health systems.
