About The Position

At Corewell Health Beaumont Troy Hospital, the Radiology Technologist performs accurate and efficient diagnostic examinations in all areas of general radiology under supervision and according to established policies and procedures. The technologist uses sound clinical skills to produce images suitable for interpretation, applies radiation-protection principles, and complies with applicable regulations. The role is responsible for a designated area and provides clinical instruction as appropriate. Patient and Family Centered Care is followed at all times.

The position is based at the 530-bed, Magnet-designated Beaumont Troy Hospital, which provides specialty and routine care to communities in the northern Detroit suburbs. The scheduled hours are 40 per week, with afternoon shift options listed as 1 p.m.–11:30 p.m., 3 p.m.–11:30 p.m., or 3 p.m.–1:30 a.m. The posting also lists 3 p.m.–11:30 p.m. as the hours of work, variable workdays, and every third weekend. Corewell Health offers an eligible sign-on bonus of up to $15,000 to external hires and new graduates for this role.

Requirements

• Graduate of a Joint Review Committee on Education in Radiologic Technology (JRCERT)-accredited Radiography program.
• Training gained at the student level.
• Radiologic Technologist Registration (ARRT), required within 180 days.
• Radiographer (R) certification through ARRT, required upon hire.
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification through the American Heart Association or American Red Cross, required upon hire.
