About The Position

Centrum Surgery Center is seeking a Radiology Technologist to work in its ambulatory surgery center in Greenwood Village, Colorado. Under the direction of a physician, the technologist performs diagnostic radiographic procedures in accordance with established protocols to support positive patient outcomes and the organization’s commitment to the care and improvement of human life.

Requirements

Graduate of an accredited school of radiology.
At least one year of experience as a Radiology Technologist.
Certification by the American Registry of Radiologic Technologists (ARRT).
Basic Life Support (BLS) certification.

Experience in an operating room or surgery center setting.

Responsibilities

Prepare supplies and positioning aids for scheduled procedures according to the physician’s preference card.
Test and monitor equipment to ensure it is in proper working condition.
Accurately complete records and other forms in accordance with approved policies and procedures.
Confirm that everyone in the room is appropriately shielded before activating X-ray equipment.
Communicate patient-status information to other staff responsible for the patient’s care.
Maintain instruments, supplies, and equipment by following cleaning, storage, and calibration procedures.
