About The Position
BJC HealthCare System is hiring a Full-Time Advanced Modality - Cath Lab/Vascular Radiology Technologist (Imaging) for Barnes-Jewish Hospital. This exciting opportunity offers cross-training and the chance to learn and gain experience in both Cardiac and Vascular procedures. The position is located in the Cardiovascular Procedure Center at Barnes-Jewish Hospital and is an Advanced Modality Technologist position with cross-training for scrubbing available. This role is a great career move for individuals looking to venture out of General Radiology. The technologist will provide imaging support in Vascular procedures using hybrid OR fluoro equipment and provide support in the Cath Lab setting, including monitoring patient vitals, setting up sterile procedure fields, and working with nurses and providers during cath lab procedures. The role utilizes Siemens Machines, providing access to the latest and most advanced equipment.
Requirements
- Associate's Degree or Trade School equivalency (or higher level of education)
- Certification as a Registered Technologist in Radiography - R.T.(R)
- No Experience
- IEMA - Illinois only, excl MRI
- RTR,CT,MR,M,BD,CI,VI,RCIS,RCES
Nice To Haves

Responsibilities
- Provide imaging support in Vascular procedures using hybrid OR fluoro equipment
- Provide support in Cath Lab setting – monitoring patient vitals, setting up sterile procedure field, working with nurse and providers during cath lab procedures
- Performs diagnostic imaging procedures in at least one advanced imaging modality (defined as Computed Tomography (CT), Magnetic Resonance Imaging (MRI), Interventional, Mammography, Bone Density, Cardiac Catheterization) on adults and/or pediatric patients for the purpose of diagnosis and/or treatment, and quality control.
- Prepares patient and equipment for procedures.
- Performs studies independently, in on-call situations, portable exams, and other site as required by work area.
