About The Position

The Radiology Technologist Assistant supports the Radiology team by using the Radiology Information System, applying basic computer skills, and communicating effectively. The role helps maintain Imaging areas, supports patient transport, and assists Radiology team members with daily operations.

The position is with the Radiology - CT department at St. Rita's Medical Center. It is scheduled for 30 hours per week on days and afternoons.

Requirements

• High school diploma or GED.
• BLS Basic Life Support certification from the American Heart Association; must be obtained from an approved source before providing direct patient care.

Nice To Haves

• One year of patient care experience.
• Experience with a Radiology Information System.
• Training in EPIC Electronic Health Record (EHR).
• Training in Picture Archiving and Communication System (PACS).
• BLS certification preferred upon hire.

Responsibilities

• Organize rooms, stock linen, and change and properly remove linen.
• Use two patient identifiers before transporting patients to and from Radiology, excluding patients who require a patient monitor or high-flow oxygen.
• Properly operate stretchers, patient beds, and wheelchairs.
• Review daily department schedules to work efficiently with Radiologic team members.
• Maintain office and medical supplies in all Imaging areas and inform the team leader when supplies need to be ordered.
• Perform other duties deemed necessary for department operations.
