About The Position

Performs all radiologic procedures offered by the department, following exam protocols on neonatal, pediatric, adult, and geriatric patients. This role involves completing paperwork and computer-related duties, assisting radiologists, staff physicians, nursing, and hospital personnel with radiological services. The technician is responsible for maintaining department facilities, equipment, and materials to promote efficiency, health, comfort, and safety. Daily checks of equipment, supplies, and accessories are required, along with keeping supplies current and replenished. Processing film, evaluating technical quality, and accurate patient identification and side labeling are key tasks. The role also includes greeting patients, verifying identification and physician orders, obtaining and documenting clinical history prior to examinations, transporting patients, and informing nursing units of patient movements. Medical and other sensitive information must be held in confidence. Other duties as assigned.

Requirements

  • High School diploma or its equivalent certification
  • Graduate of accredited Radiological Technology Program
  • Current ARRT license
  • Full command, verbal and written, of the English language
  • One (1) year relevant experience as a Radiology Technician
  • Current CPR card through the AHA
  • ARRT BLS (American Heart Association, American Red Cross, Military Training Network)
  • Hospital experience, at least 1 year recently
  • C-Arm experience
