About The Position

The Radiology Supervisor is responsible for assisting the manager with daily operations and departmental initiatives. These include personnel management, customer satisfaction, innovation and risk-taking, financial stability, sound judgment, and corporate compliance, ensuring adherence to safety practices and accreditation/licensure requirements. The supervisor is responsible for the organization, implementation, and supervision of the technical activities of the Department through the implementation and monitoring of policies and procedures. They must have a comprehensive understanding of patient and technologist flow within the Department and assign work unbiasedly by developing scheduled work hours for staff that support the hospital's and profession's mission and values. The supervisor should be proficient in operating diagnostic imaging equipment and performing procedures as needed, adhering to the "Standards of Ethics" of the ARRT and the "Clinical Practice Standards" of the ASRT. They will collaborate with physicians and other team members to ensure excellent patient care and safety, adhering to Parkview Standards of Behavior. The role may require on-call duties.

Requirements

  • Satisfactory completion of an accredited Radiologic Technology (Imaging) program.
  • Registered by American Registry of Radiologic Technologists.
  • Licensed with the State Board of Health for the State where services will be provided.
  • CPR Certification.
  • A minimum of two years of experience in radiology with an emphasis on supervision or leadership.
  • Knowledge of imaging various anatomical structures.
  • Must be able to lift 75 lbs., 150 lbs. shared lifting.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Working knowledge of general computer skills and applications.
  • Must be available for call as needed.
  • Ability to multi-task and work independently using critical thinking skills.
  • Impartial and excellent supervisory skills.
  • Ability to troubleshoot equipment.
  • Team player.

  • Encourage advanced certification if applicable.
  • If a new graduate, credentialed with State and ARRT within 90 days of employment.
