About The Position

St. Elizabeth Healthcare is hiring a Radiology Supervisor for our Deaborn CT department located within our Dearborn Hospital. This position supervises and participates in daily shift activity in the assigned Radiology discipline. Position performs management functions as delegated by the area Manager or Director. Demonstrate respect, dignity, kindness and empathy in each encounter with all patients, families, visitors and other employees regardless of cultural background.

Requirements

  • Associate degree OR graduate of an Imaging approved program
  • Registered in the imaging areas reporting to this position: CT – ARRT (CT)
  • Current CPR certification
  • State Licensure if applicable: Kentucky: KBMIRT Radiation Operators License (Radiography and/or Nuclear Medicine). Indiana: Indiana State Department of Health (ISDH) License – Nuclear Medicine Technologist and/or Radiologic Technologist
  • Good organizational skills.
  • Knowledge of the Radiology Department functions.
  • Basic Microsoft Office
  • 3 years’ experience in Radiology or a modality within Radiology.

Responsibilities

  • Follow the safety steps required to perform their duties and be in compliance with medical, state and federal safety standards.
  • Demonstrate the knowledge and skills necessary to provide care appropriately.
  • Obtains and records all patient data as required by the medical center, state, JCAHO or other agencies.
  • Ensure proper charging of all procedures, coding, and modifiers are correct.
  • Assigns daily work assignments to the staff.
  • Ensures quality of procedures is performed.
  • Prepares staff schedules that minimize overtime and ensure adequate coverage is available on all shifts.
  • Assists in employee evaluations and ensures that initial and on-going skills and competency requirements are met.
  • Serves as a coach/mentor for his/her staff and assist in the education and training of students.
  • May assist Manager, Director in the hiring of new staff.
  • May initiate disciplinary actions with management approval and oversight.
  • Reports equipment’s malfunctions promptly to Clinical Engineering or Plant Engineering.
  • Follows up to ensure function and safety of the patients and staff are being met.
  • Utilizes and oversees staff regarding proper use and function of necessary software systems.
  • Performs and /or delegates QA, QC, CQI data as required by JCAHO.
  • Performs all the duties of staff or technologist in assigned discipline.
  • Performs other duties as assigned.
