Radiology Student Intern PRN

About The Position

Under immediate supervision, the Radiology Student Intern performs diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures as directed by a physician and approved by an instructor or preceptor. The intern assists with diagnostic, interventional, and/or surgical procedures using cardiovascular and/or radiologic technologies, techniques, and practices in invasive and non-invasive care settings. The role includes preparing patients for procedures; performing procedures with equipment and practices associated with the student's primary specialty, in accordance with established clinical practice standards, guidelines, and protocols; maintaining department records, reports, and files; and ordering and stocking supplies while ensuring the procedure area is clean and ready for the next patient. Other duties may be assigned.

Requirements

Currently enrolled in an accredited cardiovascular or radiologic technology program.
Current BLS certification upon hire.
Knowledge of human anatomy and physiology.
Knowledge of diagnostic cardiovascular and/or radiologic technology procedures.
Ability to operate equipment associated with the primary specialty in which the student is being trained.
Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with patients and other staff members.
Ability to communicate effectively verbally and in writing.

Responsibilities
