About The Position

Support Radiologists by streamlining workflow, communication, and patient prioritization to enhance efficiency and safety. Communicate critical test results promptly and accurately to healthcare providers. Maintain compliance with PHI and HIPAA standards. Serve as the primary phone contact, resolving requests and delivering excellent customer service. Coordinate outside study reads by uploading to PACS and completing orders. Provide film digitization and CD creation for provider needs. Act as flow facilitator for X-ray imaging in the Critical Care Building, responding to trauma alerts and coordinating imaging for Emergency, Urgent Care, and Critical Care patients.

Requirements

Responsibilities

  • Perform accurate data entry and validation to ensure completeness and legibility.
  • Maintain internal record-keeping systems while proficiently navigating multiple complex IT and Radiology platforms.
  • Enter and manage orders, ensuring accurate demographic and clinical information within the system.
  • Transcribe and duplicate clinical orders across all modalities.
  • Monitor system dashboards for critical results, facilitating timely physician-to-physician communication and documenting interactions accurately.
  • Upload outside facility images and reports into PACS with correct order details for Radiologist interpretation.
  • Provide comprehensive assistance to Radiologists and internal/external customers to optimize workflow and ensure timely, accurate communication.
  • Relay complex imaging report information and critical results efficiently to expedite safe patient care.
  • Fulfill requests for patient reports and images, including CD creation, ensuring proper documentation and consent.
  • Monitor system dashboards for urgent results and facilitate physician-to-physician communication, maintaining precise documentation of all interactions.
  • Demonstrate flexibility within the department and serve as a resource for onboarding and training new staff.
  • Act as the primary flow facilitator for all X-ray imaging within the Critical Care Building.
  • Respond promptly to trauma pager alerts and collaborate with technologists, clinicians, and Radiologists to expedite imaging for trauma cases.
  • Coordinate imaging for Emergency Department, Urgent Care, and Critical Care patients to ensure timely and safe patient care.
  • Maintain strong working relationships with Radiologists, internal/external physicians, and other clinical personnel.
  • Respond promptly and effectively to requests, ensuring needs and expectations are met.
  • Communicate relevant information clearly and accurately to healthcare providers and departmental staff.
  • Advocate for provider needs to support safe, efficient patient care.
  • Demonstrate a courteous, attentive, and professional approach in all interactions.
  • Serve as a resource for clinical teams, addressing questions related to imaging reports, order processes, and system workflows.
  • Develop and maintain effective communication processes across departments to support operational efficiency.
  • Investigate and resolve customer requests, questions, or issues by collaborating with internal teams and external representatives to ensure timely resolution.
